MahilaCareerAgent (BimaSakhi) Program

The Mahila Career Agent Program (Bima Sakhi) is an initiative by LIC of India, formally launched by the respected Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, on 9th December 2024, from Panipat.

The program is aimed at empowering women to become insurance advisors, enabling them to earn an independent income while working flexible hours.

Age: Minimum 18 years, Maximum 70 years.
Qualification: Minimum 12th Pass; no maximum criteria.
Who Can Join: Unemployed women seeking financial independence.
Fee: ₹800 (nominal), with free training by LIC of India.
Documents Required: One passport-size photo, matriculation certificate, PAN card, Aadhaar card. Basic Info: Mobile number, email address, exam language preference.
Exam Details: Online (IRDA centers), 1-hour, 50 questions, passing marks: 15/50.

Eligibility for Stipend: ₹48,000 commission in the agency year is required for a full 12-month stipend. Early fulfillment will lead to monthly stipend release.

How To Become LIC Agent

Step 1 : Simple Registration Process

To become an LIC agent, fill out a simple registration form on the Contact Us page. Submit the required documents. Check the Documents and Fees section for details.

Step 2 : Online or Offline Training

After registration, complete 25 hours of training either online or offline. Upon completion, you’ll receive a training certificate.

Step 3 : Examination

Take the Pre-Licensing Online exam by IRDA and score at least 15 out of 50 marks. The exam consists of objective-type questions.

Step 4 : Appointment letter

After passing the exam, you’ll receive an appointment letter to work as an insurance agent, officially joining our team.

Step 5 : One to One Training

Once part of the team, receive exclusive training on LIC products, need-based selling, documentation for new policies, and marketing strategies to enhance sales.
